Senior Scientist / Molecular Biologist

Location: Cambridge

Salary: 35-43K(neg.)

An opportunity has arisen for a senior Scientist with management experience to join a well-established organisation based in the East Anglia area. The successful applicant will be responsible for design studies providing input to drive projects forward and detailed planning to ensure delivery of designs and other development documentation. Also, to provide expert knowledge of their area of work including keeping up to date with the latest R&D workflows and scientific literature, etc. The Senior Scientist will be expected to have good experience in antibody profiling in cell-based assays. Also, to have effective communication and coordination with other team members.

Qualifications and Skills

  • PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline, with 2-4 years direct experience working with antibodies and/or other recombinant protein.
  • Experience in conducting molecular biology to facilitate gene cloning.
  • Experience in an antibody library construction,
  • Experience in carrying out a range of analytical assays such as running plate-based immunoassays including ELISAs and TR-FRET assays.
  • Experience of protein purification using affinity chromatography.
  • Experience in data analysis, interpretation and understanding of descriptive statistics.
  • Good Experience in optimisation of manual and/or automated diagnostic devices.
